Hunter's list #711 list Henrich Schweitzler and note his German roots at 6745
(unsure what that is) Offenbach a.d. Queich (3km east of Landaui, church books
begin 1707) The family was originally from Ellsauw (et.var.) Switzerland
1667. Certified in Elsau parish books are:
granted birth certificate to Rudolph son of Martin
Schwitzler and Ann.
Peter, bapt at Ellsauw 9 Feb. 1634 stated that in 1666 he
settled at his home at Offenbach in Electorate Palatinate with wife and child (Elsau
church book notes that Rudj. Schwitzler and Barbara had children:
Anna bapt. 1664 and Barbara bapt.

Abraham Schwitzler lived at Morlheim near Offenbach as early as 1661 and had
a son Michael baptized there on 1 Aug, 1669
Wife of Abraham, Elizabeth Bretzin was buried 5 Feb., 1720 at age 80 recorded in
Offenbach church books
***This family is related to Heinrich (Henrig) Switsler, his wife and four
children on Captain Thomas Key's ship in 5th party of Palatines in Holland
(Rotterdam lists)
Heinrich Schweitzler first appears on Hunters list 4 Aug, 1710 with four
persons over 10 yrs. In Oct the family is reported with three persons over
10,and one under ten on 4 Oct, 1710
There is a Hendrick Switselaer mentioned in Palatine Debt Book 1712/1713
(Settlers and Residents Vol 1 p. 16)

Hendrik Swteslar made first appearance on tax rolls in South Ward NY
1717/1718. He was noted n northward 1726/1728 and 1729. He sponsored
his daughter Maria Elisabeth in 1722 at Kingston Ref. Church with Elisabeth
Bruye (probably his wife)

Lorentz Heinrich Schweitzer is listed on Hunters list #297. A Lorentz
Heinrich age 28, wife, son age 2 1/2, daughter age 1 1/4 first arrivals in
England May 1709 (London lists) first appear on Hunter Rolls 4 Aug, 1710 NY with
one person over 10 and one person under ten
Later, two persons over 10, three under 10 on 4 Oct, 1710
then , three persons over 10, three under 10 on 31 Dec. 1710
The entry for 24 June, 1711 records: two person over 10, three under ten and a
final entry 13 Sept, 1712 lists two persons over ten, four under ten.
A Widower Lorentz Henrich married Anna Regina, daughter of Wilhalm and the
widow of Johann Wilhelm Voland . Her son to this previous marriage, Johann
Philip Voland ( later marries Eva Schwitzler) was called son of Lorentz Hendrick
in 1728/1729 Dutchess Co. tax list.
Lorentz Heinrich was naturalized 8th/9th Sept, 1715 Kingston Naturalizations.
Lorentz Henrich and Regina with five children were at Heessberg in 1716/1717 (Summindinger
Register)
Lawrence Henderick appears in Northward NY Rolls 1717/1718 and is present there
until 1725/1726 (Dutchess Co. tax lists)

McKay for a grant of 400 Acres of land in the county of Ulster between
Shawangunk Mountains and the Shawangunk Kill. On 11 Feb, 1771, there was a
return of a survey for 200 Acres of land in Shawangunk, on 7 Aug 1771
there was a petition praying letters patent for 400 Acres, formerly laid out to
the petitioners (Calander of New York Colonial Manuscripts: Indorsed Land
Papers, 1643 - 1803, compiled by E.B. O'Callaghan p. 461, 518, & 540)
